Improvidence at the 2011 Minnesota Fringe Festival

Best.Mary Magdalene.Ever. Let’s get that front and center. The Jim Jones / Joseph Smith / L. Ron Hubbard number was also a hoot. A fun show, though the cleverness of some of the songs is swallowed up by the immensity of the Guthrie Lab.  PLEASE publish the lyrics to Techno-Babel.  I beg you.

I do wish the line about “no fatties” had been left out. It immediately calls attention to the relative physical dimensions of every woman in the cast. I guess if they don’t care, I shouldn’t, but I do.

As for the improvident Lord Chris: surviving two assassination attempts in one hour seems pretty Godlike to me. Maybe there’s more to filling the bowl and taking it easy than I thought.
